There are plenty of girls named Belle in France, I think it's a lovely, pretty name. There are also boys called Beau. But it isn't like calling them Beautiful and Handsome, it's just how the French do things! Every language has it's perks now and then!Are there any girls named belle in France, and would this be like naming an English girl beautiful?I wouldn't name her Beautiful, but how about as a nickname. I was born in France and lived there for twelve years, and i never met a Belle, i would fin that frankly, well wierd. Belle is a ncie name though.
